Research background

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is an endogenous coenzyme central to cellular redox reactions and a substrate for enzymes including sirtuins and PARPs. Research focuses on the decline of NAD+ with age and the effects of restoring NAD+ pools on mitochondrial function, DNA repair, and metabolic regulation.

The field is active; most mechanistic evidence is from cellular and animal models, with human trials of NAD+ precursors ongoing.

Summary of published scientific literature provided for laboratory research reference only. It is not a claim of safety, efficacy, or suitability for any use, and does not describe or recommend any human or veterinary use.
