Research background
5-Amino-1MQ (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium) is a small-molecule, cell-permeable inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme implicated in cellular methylation balance and NAD+ salvage. Research examines NNMT inhibition in models of adipocyte metabolism.
The data are preclinical (cell and rodent); 5-Amino-1MQ is a research chemical without an approved indication.
Summary of published scientific literature provided for laboratory research reference only. It is not a claim of safety, efficacy, or suitability for any use, and does not describe or recommend any human or veterinary use.
