Research background
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and selective agonist of the growth-hormone secretagogue receptor (the ghrelin receptor). It was characterized as the first GHS to stimulate growth-hormone release with high selectivity and without the elevations in cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH seen with earlier secretagogues.
The foundational pharmacology is well documented in preclinical work; ipamorelin has not advanced to an approved indication.
Summary of published scientific literature provided for laboratory research reference only. It is not a claim of safety, efficacy, or suitability for any use, and does not describe or recommend any human or veterinary use.
