CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin

Compound monograph CRL-PER-CJCIPA-10
01

Background

This research preparation pairs CJC-1295, a long-acting GHRH analog, with ipamorelin, a selective growth-hormone secretagogue (GHS-R agonist). The combination is studied on the rationale that the two act on distinct receptors, GHRH and ghrelin, that converge on pituitary somatotrophs to amplify pulsatile growth-hormone release.

The original CJC-1295 trials demonstrated sustained elevation of GH and IGF-1 with preserved pulsatility in healthy adults, while ipamorelin was characterized as the first selective GHS without significant cortisol or prolactin elevation. Combination-specific clinical data are limited; see the individual component entries.
