Research background
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 insulin-like growth factor-1) is an 83-amino-acid recombinant analog of human IGF-1, bearing an Arg substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins, increasing free availability of the molecule in research systems.
It is widely used as a cell-culture reagent and research analog; it has no approved clinical indication.
Summary of published scientific literature provided for laboratory research reference only. It is not a claim of safety, efficacy, or suitability for any use, and does not describe or recommend any human or veterinary use.
